From Tondela to Carregal do Sal

Construction of the variant section of EN 230, between EN 2, near Tondela and EN 234 in Carregal Sal, in a total length of  11km.

The contract involved the construction of 6 special works of art: the Viaduct of Nagosela, the Overpass to the Dão railway (future Ecotrail), the bridge over Ribeira de Cabanas, 2 agricultural passages, prefabricated concrete Maprel type, and most emblematic work of art, the Bridge over the River Dão.

The Bridge on the Dão River has a total length of 176m, with a central span of 48.0m 80m and side bays. It has a tray in monocellular reinforced and prestressed concrete coffin and was built by the proccess of successive consoles performed symmetrically from each column using trolleys of advance.
