Azenhas do Mar North Cliff Stabilization

Stabilization of the northern cliff stretch under the urban core of Azenhas do Mar, in the municipality of Sintra, with about 125m of development and a maximum height of up to 45m, with a view to preserving the core of dwellings that are built on its top, considered of great patrimonial interest and to prevent the fall of materials for the cliffs from endangering the use of existing beach and ocean pool use.

 

The works are essentially in terms of cleaning and sanitation of loose blocks and the consolidation of the massif, especially the application of nailing and anchoring, projected concrete with mortar stone coating; console crashing; cavity filling with cyclopic concrete and cliff protection with projected concrete.
