ANEEL authorizes commercial operation of 25,4 MW of the Serrote Wind Complex

The National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) authorized the commercial operation of six wind farms in the Serrote Wind Complex, belonging to Qair Brasil, located in the municipality of Trairi, state of Ceará, Brazil.

In the Serrote III Wind Farm, the UG3 generating unit was authorized and in the Wind Farm V the UG1, UG2, UG3, UG5 and UG6 units were authorized, totalizing an installed capacity of 25,4 MW.
The wind complex will consist of a total of 49 Vestas wind turbines with 4,2 MW each, with a total installed capacity of 206 MW. This project also includes the installation of a 34,5/230kV step-up substation and a 71km 230kV Transmission Line, which will link the complex's substation to CHESF's Pecém II substation, located in the municipality of São Gonçalo do Amarante.
