Siemens Gamesa supplies turbines for the Tucano Wind Farm

Siemens Gamesa will be the company responsible for supplying turbines for the Tucano Wind Farm, owned by AES Tiête and located in the municipalities of Tucano, Aracia and Biritinga, in Bahia.

 

 

The wind complex will have an installed capacity of 322MW, consisting of 52 wind turbines generators of 6,2MW. The turbines will be one of the largest installed in Brazil in power and size, with steel towers 115 meters high and blades 80 meters long, forming a circumference of 170 meters in diameter. The blades, towers and nacelles will be manufactured in Brazil, and the first turbines will be commissioned in December 2021. 

 

afaplan will be the company responsible for the Owner's Engineering services for this project, which will have a total investment in the construction phase in the amount of approximately R$ 1.3 billion.
