afaplan and Enel Green Power present the Workshop Delfina Case Study

2018-08-09

On the 8th of August, at Brazil Windpower 2018 in Rio de Janeiro, the project of Delfina Wind Farm, BA, Brazil was presented by Flávio Barreiro, Chief of Operations in Brazil, and Camilo Rebollo Couto from Enel Green Power.

In this Case Study, the stages of project construction, quality control, sustainability, employability, among other subjects were presented. Regarding employability, special emphasis was placed on local supply, sustainability was made on roads, courses offered in schools and social support given to communities. As a contribution to the environmental preservation, special focus was given to the species brown and spotted jaguar and the blue macaw. In the end, there was an interesting debate about the difficulties of implementing the 90 km Transmission Line that crosses more than 300 owners' land (some land whose property is claimed by more than one person) and the licensing in the various organs, for which Enel mobilized a team based in Salvador.

The Delfina Wind Farm, owned by Enel Green Power, is located in Campo Formoso, Bahia, and has an installed capacity of 180MW. Know more details about this project here.
