Renewables reached 61% of electricity production in the first half of 2018

2018-07-10

According to the newspaper "Jornal Construir", "In the first half of 2018, renewable energy reached 61% of total electricity production in Mainland Portugal.

This result is due to the greater availability of resources, especially hydric and wind, according to the Portuguese Association of Renewable Energies (APREN).

It is noted a set of 623 non-consecutive hours, equivalent to 26 days, in which electricity from renewable energy was sufficient to supply the national electricity consumption by itself."

Afaplan participates actively in the growth of renewable energies in Portugal as Project Manager in the construction of wind farms, solar parks and dams.
