afaplan is the company responsible for the Supervision and Coordination services for the contract works for the future Mondego Mobility System - Metrobus in the section Portagem - Coimbra B, including the Coimbra B Station.
The SMM project has as main benefits:
- Promote sustainable mobility, through the implementation of an attractive and competitive mobility service, operated by electric vehicles, leading to modal shift to a more energy efficient mode of transport and with lower GHG emissions;
- Reinforce the intermodality of the transport system of the Coimbra region, creating conditions for physical, ticketing and fare integration
- Promote the connection of the municipalities of Lousã and Miranda do Corvo to the urban center of Coimbra without transshipment, with excellent safety and reliability conditions, strengthening the economic and social integration of the territory.
