Code of Ethics

The Code of Ethics reflects the way that afaplan behaves in the development of its activity, being one of general application.

 

It defines the values which all the employees that develop their professional activity in afaplan, regardless of their employment, must comply. Its purpose is to help employees understand and internalize their responsibilities as members of this company, regarding the company itself, its clients, suppliers and colleagues.

 

The Code of Ethics seeks to promote and safeguard the evidence of attitudes, connected to the interests and the documentation of the company that guides and marks the contribution of each of the employees to the Vision and Mission of afaplan.

 

The application of the Code of Ethics is the responsibility of each employee, who must carry out the necessary steps to ensure that the principles listed in it occur during the daily activity of afaplan.

 

Monitoring the effective application of the Code of Ethics is everyone's responsibility and, in particular, of the Administration.

Organizational Awareness

The employee should permanently be concerned to look after the interests of the company, with a view of continuous partnership with the clients, making it necessary to ensure it, without undermining the scrupulous implementation of the responsibilities specific to its function; he avoids or communicates any situation that could generate conflicts, directly or indirectly, between personal interests and those of the company; he shows willingness to contribute in situations where hard work is necessary and/or in execution of activities normally performed by colleagues.

 

 Possible consequences of non-compliance of this value:

  • afaplan interests put into question / Conflict of interests; 
  • Lack of availability for the enterprise; 
  • Low involvement and identification with afaplan Project; 
  • Loss of competitiveness; 
  • Exceptional expenses; 
  • Affected image of the company. 

 

Team work

The employee cooperates actively with the others in order to reach the objectives of the team/company, assuming its responsibilities as member of the team, promoting the same guidance to the joint work; respecting the colleagues’ opinions and contributions; contributing to the cohesion of the team, being available to help the colleagues in their mission and defending the interests of the team/company.

 

Possible consequences of non-compliance of this value:

  • Reduction of operational capacity of the company; 
  • Disruption of social climate; 
  • Exceptional expenses for afaplan
  • Interests of afaplan put into question; 
  • Affected image of the company. 

  

Integrity

The employee fulfills his obligations in a professional, responsible and industrious manner, seeking excellence in performance and services that afaplan provides to its clients; he dedicates his best efforts, knowledge and capabilities in the development of the assigned services, ensuring the achievement of the procedures defined by the company.

 

Possible consequences of non-compliance of this value:

  • Quality decrease in service performance; 
  • Clients dissatisfaction; 
  • Costs for afaplan and clients; 
  • Affected image of the company; 
  • Loss of clients. 

 

Respect

The employee acts in accordance to the ethical principles of afaplan; he relates to the company, colleagues and other people who are or enter in connection to the company with honesty and respect, using the utmost discretion, inside and outside afaplan, on information concerning his professional activity; he complies with the instructions of the company and superiors, in all respects to the development of activities, demonstrating an appropriate behavior.

 

Possible consequences of non-compliance of this value:

  • Conflict between employees; 
  • Deteriorated social climate; 
  • Damage to the company; 
  • Disciplinary procedure; 
  • Affected image of the company.

 

Development

The employee shows dynamism and openness for change and actively participates in the development of the company; he promotes or performs any act which aims to improve the productivity of the company; he looks for a permanent and systematic development of his knowledge and skills, as well as his colleagues’, with a view to maintaining or improving his professional skills and the functions he plays.

 

Possible consequences of non-compliance of this value:

  • Loss of competitiveness / unskilled Human Resources; 
  • Quality decrease in service performance; 
  • Decreased ability to meet the clients demands; 
  • Lower capacity to adapt to changing markets; 
  • Affected image of the company; 
  • Loss of clients.

 

Quality

The employee seeks actively to achieve the objectives set by the Integrated System of Quality Management, subject to its the guidelines, making a proper use of its tools and procedures in order to increase the efficiency of activity and to impose a continuous dynamics for the improvement of the provision of services, environmental management and security.

 

Possible consequences of non-compliance of this value:

  • Reduction of operational capacity of the company, accident, legal negligence and pollution
  • Quality decrease in service performance; 
  • Loss of competitiveness; 
  • Non-compliances; 
  • Threatened certification of the company; 
  • Affected image of the company.

 

Social Responsibility

Regardless of the place he performs his activity (at the client, at the site of AFA ...), the employee permanently represents afaplan and is jointly responsible for the consequences of the actions of afaplan in the environment where he belongs; he knows, performs and supervises in compliance with the standards of Environment, Labour Laws and Hygiene and Safety at Work, established in the applicable law or agreement, and also in the guidelines given by the company, demonstrating behaviors of proactivity and reporting any found non-conformities.

 

Possible consequences of non-compliance of this value:

  • Damaged interest or property of the company; 
  • Operation of legal mechanisms against the company; 
  • Exceptional expenses for the company;
